Sumner County Board of Education provide area students with eleven educational districts that manage the 46 schools serving Sumner County’s 27,000 students. Additionally, there are 50 private schools in the immediate area, with numerous other quality public and private schools in our surrounding counties, making our area wealthy with educational options for your family’s student. Nicknamed “The Athens of the South”, the Nashville Metro region also offers area students a wide array of post-secondary education options, including 21 accredited four-year and postgraduate institutions, six community colleges and 11 vocational and technical schools.
